File I/O in perl-fu is probably better than in Script-Fu. Depending on what
type of file I/O you need you may find Tiny-Fu better. It has some
additional file related functions which are not available in Script-Fu.
Basic reading of stuff from a file will be about the same as in Script-Fu.
