It is not inconsistent. There are a number of constants which have been
deprecated. Script-Fu allows use of the older constant names to maintain
backwards compatibility (for now). The proper constant to use is ADDITION-MODE.
Scripts should be updated to use the current named constants. The deprecated
constants may be removed in some future version of Script-Fu.
