One issue is the colour gamut is not as great as CRTs, but probably at least as good as LCDs. The main limitation though is the lifetime of the blue emitters, which are about half that of the red and green and can be short enough that a colour shift is apparent in a matter of weeks. There have recently been some improvements in this area though. While they are cheap, I don't think they will ever be cheap enough to put on cereal boxes - but some product packaging might.
