The display is probably made by IBM. Dell also uses them in their
inspiron line.
There is info on their prior 1600x1200 panel at:

but I'm not fining a page about the newer panel. Perhaps it is not
also an IBM.
As a side not, dell offers both the ITUX97 and the newer 1600x1200
panel on their i8200; the cost difference is only $100 IIRC; the
brightness and viewing angle of the newer panel as compared to the
ITUX97 suggest strongly that it is the same panel as you have.
To get the panel info: if on linux or bsd, try:
grep -i 'panel id' /var/log/XFree86.0.log
or on doze go to:
Start Menu
Programs
Accessories
System Tools
System Information
and look in that dialog for info on the display. That will specify
the manufacturer and model number of the panel.
