I purchased the Rotating Glass Carrier from Nikon and have been very happy with the results, ease of use and edge to edge film sharpness was well worth the purchase. The masks are included for 6x9, 6x8, 6x7, 6x6, 6x4.5 and 2 different 35mm panorama mask sizes. I have had minimal problems with Newton's rings. Seems to happen when it really humid, or when scanning single cut film that's hard to get directly on the mask. All of the newton's rings have thusfar only showed up on the seamless paper backgrounds of studio shots, and easy to PhotoShop out. I've found the glass carrier much easier to use than the standard 120cm batch carrier, especially since you don't have to fiddle around with the stretching feature to flatten 120cm film. Haven't had to use the rotating feature, but this was sold to me as the better of the 2 glass carrier options by my trusted sales rep at Samy's Camera. The cheaper carrier doesn't come with the masks as far as I know.
