I have just come in at this point so I do not know what scanner you 
are using. I had trouble scanning Scala on my LS-2000 until I turned 
off the ICE - but it may also be worth turning off the Nikon Colour 
Management if you are using a Nikon product then scan in gray scale 
or colour neg.  I get nice results now from Scala and the inkjets I 
make from the scans are better than an R-Type print. Hope this helps
