I have an Epson 2450, am on W98 SE with a 750 PIII, and my system will NOT
work with a FIREWIRE card or a USB 2 Card..Calls to Epson came back with
"W98 does NOT support either FIREWIRE or USB2.0."..However, the scanner
works FINE on USB 1.1..The only speed difference you would notice is data
transfer to your hard drive, but NO DIFFERENCE in scanning speed....
