I'm guilty of a short reply to Rafe. Since this WAS off topic I changed
the Subject Line to "Creator" so anyone not interested could delete it.
There has been a request from Mitch to keep the list on topic and I
respect this. Why these topic goes on and on and on is beyond me and I
regret having made my initial comment. I surely did not intend for it to
cause valued posters to  think of or leave the list. Paul

It is not uncommon for off-topic posts to pop up every now and then. I
usually welcome them. They provide a break for the normal topic
discussion-which sometimes can become tedious in itself. I have often
learned something interesting or valuable from these posts. Often they bring
a smile or provoke a thought.

But it is up to the list members to keep it under control and reasonable. I
appreciate your regrets but don't feel too badly since some list members
didn't exercise a proper amount of self-control. Thank you for your concern,
it take guts to say what you said.

The results are evident and when it gets to the point that list members are
leaving or threatening to leave, it is time to cool it. If one still feels a
need to say something, just use personal email.
