Polaroid 4000 Plus Filscanner

Hi Group,

Looks like I have to get a better scanner after all.

If you are currently using the Polaroid 4000 Plus 35mm Scanner, would you please
contact me off list?  I must get a new scanner, as a client has many images that
I must get really good shadow detail out of, and the Canon 2710 FS scanner,
while an excellent machine for the price, does not get great shadow detail from
Velvia!

He frequently has 35mm color negatives to scan, so the scanner has to be good at
Color slides, Color Negs, and Black and White films.

The D Max on the Polaroid looks excellent, if Polaroid isn't exaggerating, and
the scan times at maximum resolution are fairly short.  I'd like to hear from
someone that is using this scanner on a regular basis.
