If that were the case we wouldn't still be talking about it, 
nearly a year later, and there wouldn't be a FAQ on the 
subject, on Nikon's tech support web site.

It has been reported by myself and by Lawrence Smith, 
and I believe a few others.  There is a design issue here.

We can debate on the severity, frequency and the impact 
of this problem, but it is quite real.
