1. here's my 2 cents worth about the minolta scan multi pro, just for
whoever is interested.
2. i got this unit last fall.
3. no problems with 35mm negative scans, in fact very nice.
4. huge huge huge problems with 35mm panoramic scans using the multiformat
mode. very blue / cyan color cast, very abnormal. thus i sent in the
unit, minolta acknowledged that it was abnormal, but basically didn't
have a clue how to fix the problem--> they eventually gave me a full
refund.
5. just as a tangent: i got the polaroid 120, largely d/t david hemmingway's
recommendations and due to the fact that they have this modified 35mm
holder which enables one to do 35mm panoramic scans. bottomline: very
good scans with silverfast 5.5 / negafix and good scans also with vuescan.
