Congrats Art! You take first prize in the scanner list Nikon Bashing
Crusade. Choosing a winner was easy. No one else was even close.

First prize is a colour scan of any of your images, performed on my very own
Nikon 8000. I'll defocus the image to suit your preferences and current
theories of scan quality. Perhaps I'll crop the edges a bit to simulate the
SS120 effect. I'll even try to get the scan to show some banding, but
frankly, it might prove to be a problem. Out of about a thousand scans, it's
only showed up on 3 or 4 images. Maybe I can use Photoshop to "fake" the
banding. .
