dust in my SS4000

Well, I think having my SS4000 in my dusty apartment for over a year has
finally caught up to me:  because the scanner has open slots in the front
and back, dust has accumulated inside the scanner.  Very clear when you
shine a flashlight in there.  I'm assuming this is going to be detrimental
to my scans...any way to clean it out (canned air doesn't seem to do much)?
I'm in New York City, if anyone knows a place I can get it done (if I need
to go that far...).  Thanks!
