Unless the scanner is badly designed or constructed, it's probably not worth the trouble. Examples: 1. I frequently use glass mount film holders with the Nikon film scanner. That adds two thick panes of glass, yet I haven't noticed any difference between the use of glass and glassless mounts. 2. Scitex scanners are flatbed scanners and its performance doesn't seem to be affected by the pane of glass. Dane Kosaka >Has any one considered this?
