Film Adapter for the Epson Perfection 1640/1650

I recently wrote enquiring about the film adapter available for the Epson
Perfection 1250, as my HP S20 was not working. Happily I am now back to
normal on the S20, but meanwhile I investigated film adapters for the Epson
Perfection range, and found that the larger adapter normally sold with the
1640/1650 can be used with my 1250. It scans up to 4" x 5", which is
something I had not contemplated within my budget - I have a small number of
6x6cm to scan and one or two larger format. Even though the 1250 scans only
at 1200 max (optical), this adapter looks as if it might be useful to me.
Has anyone used it, maybe on the 1640/1650 it's meant for (with 1600
optical)?
