Mike, I had it on USB. The reason that I went to SCSI is that I was when I was using SilverFast it was hanging on larger scans and when I tried to do large batch scans. The only way that I could get it to work was by connecting directly to the computer and not to a hub. The problem is that almost all devices seem to want to be connected directly and not through a hub! SCSI seems to solve part of the problem with SilverFast; however, the only way I can do batch scans is to disk not directly into PhotoShop. Such is life, almost everything is a workaround it seems.
