Some of your ideas require a level of integration (and/or standardization) that may take some time to accrue -- but they will, in time, I believe. As an aside, I feel that NikonScan does a really impressive job with properly inverting negatives, without the need for "profiles," or for me (the user) needing to identify the film type. Dunno how it works, but it works da balls. As to color manglement, I'm sure someday they'll get a handle on it <g>. Y'all let me know when it happens, OK? Add to your wish list: a wide-gamut archival dye ink that works on all Epson printers and won't clog the heads.
