  If you want to play games as well, GeForce 3 or better video card.

  If you want to preview the output on an NTSC monitor in case you're
working with graphics destined for video output, then one of the video
cards that have composite/SVHS output, like the ATI All-In-Wonder
series.

  If you want dual monitors support in one card, the Matrox dual-head
series.
