For those interested, I can report that the blue cast (reported by others and observed my me, as well) obtained when scanning 24x65mm negs in the Minolta Multi Pro multi-format holder seems to be eliminated using VueScan instead of the Multi Pro utility. Alas, I had to move from WinME to Win2K in order to establish this, as the Minolta is not visible to VueScan in WinME. QUESTION FOR ED HAMRICK: I want to fashion a 35mm panoramic holder. Since VueScan seems to "calibrate" the aperture of the film holder (I'm new to VueScan, but that's my initial observation), can I fool it by opening up the 35mm filmstrip holder? Does VueScan ignore the holder information provided by the notches on the holder (evidently the hardware "reads" holder identity this way)? If VueScan does use this information, do you think I'll have luck with a cut open film aperture and holder identification modified to match the medium-format holder? I'd rather modify a $54 35mm filmstrip holder than pop $275 for the accessory holder. QUESTION FOR ANYONE: I also have a considerable library of 6x17 panoramic negatives and transparencies. With the Minolta, I must stitch two (or three) scans to get in an entire image. My experience with this is that Photoshop won't let me use the move tool to combine 16-bit images. Am I doing something wrong, or is there another way to combine images? Thanks, Denis M.
