Greeting all. Thanks to previous replies. I have not bought one yet, I am loaded with memory and ram, what I was asking about is this, on Profile Prism list run by Mike Chaney, he says <I hate even keeping that thing open for very long because I suspect it is gnawing on the exact same sectors on that hard drive constantly. Maybe Epson has stock in some hard drive manufacturers or something. :-) Mike> Others have posted about this grind noise too. So before I shell out the bucks and now I am seriously rethinking my brand choice, who else is out there hearing this same sound. Mike certainly is no novice and he has posted about this several times. I know lists are monitored by Epson and if enough people start talking about a problem with their software, the twain driver, maybe some changes will be made.
