I use scanners and I'm "not" a photographer. I "scan" old photographs and restore them. In my case, scanning has nothing to do with photography, other than the fact that I'm scanning a photo. Personally I can't see why photography and scanning are so related (in my case). Please stick to the subject of scanning. There are plenty of lists for photographers.
