The cameras tend to be 4 pins, but all the PCI IO cards are 6 pins, so the 4
to 6 is the really common cable. My note book has a 4 pin connector, and the
4 to 4s are not included with any cards so I had to just buy the cable.

If the store you are shopping in has a mac isle, be sure to check both isles
for cables or even peripherals. In my case, the firewire cable was cheaper
in the mac isle.

The 6 to 6 pin cables come with the firewire to scsi converters. [There is
now one other brand besides Orange Micro, though I don't recall the name. I
just saw it at Frys.]

If I need a cable, I can't screw with mail order. I buy it. I think the
stores know this and price them accordingly.
