Doug: Why should you have Nikon bother to look at the wire, something that's essentially a throwaway item? If the problem is intermittent, it's probably a bad connector. Otherwise if it's the wire they'd need something like a TDR. Is it worth the trouble to find out exactly? Just curious why one would bother.
