I am also working with the OS 9.2.2-10.1.2 tandem. Vuescan opens up the scan in Photoshop in OS 9 for me as well. No problem. > From: Neil Schneider <neils@pipeline.com> > I am using OS 9.2.2 & OSX 10.1.2 > VueScan opens Photoshop correctly in 9.2.2 but does not in OSX > As a matter of fact there is an external viewer box in VueScans OSX > application, > however there is no box from which to choose a viewing application from. > This leads me to believe that OSX has its default viewer looked in > OSX's root files. Photoshop is not OS X native yet, so Vuescan doesn't ask for it (in OS X). Perhaps with Photoshop 7 coming out, that option will become available. I think the default viewer is the Mac "Preview" PDF viewer. It tries, but my scans won't open up with it. I get an error message of some sort. Perhaps 50 MB and up is to big for the app. (?) Maybe I'll try with a really small scan (500K?) and see what happens. I am using a G-4 with 1 Gig of memory, but I close Vuescan in OS 9 after the image opens in Photoshop because it (PS) slows down so much with both running. Releasing memory helps, but I just bail out of VS till I need it again. Regards, Peter A. Calvin www.petercalvin.com - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
