I think what's happening is that the dpi info is stored in an optional record, and Photoshop obeys it if it is present, or assumes 72 otherwise. Vuescan probably doesn't put any dpi info into the file. It would be nice if this default could be changed somewhere. However, I always resize things for printing anyway, so it doesn't really bother me one way or the other. -- Ciao, Paul D.
