It would great if someone would post a small snippet of 
a film scan from one of these.  The important thing here 
is to specify the pixel height and width of the snippet 
(at the optical res of the scanner) and to not do any 
unsharp-masking.

It's fair to resample the image (for posting on the web) 
but one should be able to state, "This image represents 
an area X inches wide by Y inches high on the original 
film."
