I'm sure most people on this list got that B&H Photo "digital" sourcebook. Anyway, in the printer section they list a few inks that you can put in espon printers specifically for B&W printings. Here is B&H sells: QB Quad Black and lysonic small gamut page 357 of the B&H sourcebook I don't have skin rashes, but I use gloves for virtually anything messy, the reason being I wear contact lenses and don't like to spend hours getting my hand clean enough to poke myself in the eye. I buy nitril surgical gloves.
