More than a bit off topic, but I am looking at a Canon Optura 100MC. You get a nice camcorder (miniDV) and a low res digital camera at the same time. The camera would be fine for web stuff. These new mini-DVs can record in 16:9 format, so some people use them as HDTV VCRs. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-scan@leben.com [mailto:owner-scan@leben.com]On Behalf Of > Arthur Entlich > Sent: Thursday, December 27, 2001 4:22 AM > To: scan@leben.com > Subject: Re: Levels & Curves > > > > Am I going to buy one, well > eventually, yes, but it won't be a $1500 model, because I can think of > better use of $750 a year in depreciation the camera is likely to > suffer.
