You don't *have* to junk them, Gary.  Nothin' says you can't 
still be working on a Mac Plus or an old 4.77 MHz IBM-PC 
with a CGA monitor and 300 baud modem.

True enough; my Nikon FE is now about 22 years old, still 
looking good and working well.

Can't say that about any computer products I own.  To this day, I 
haven't bought a digital camera because I know that next year's 
model will be *so* much better than whatever I can buy today.  
Everybody's got to draw the line somewhere.
