>This sounds like rather a radical "fix." Have you tried messing with >some of the color management options? Maybe try a different color >space, or turn CM off altogether? What color space are you using? >(I'm using Colormatch, FWIW.) Normally I use Adobe RGB. Did you see the problem I noted with that, D-Min not mapping to maximum values? So I turned it off to test the exposure problem. I haven't tried any other color space. Inversion in PS can be almost trivial depending on the method you choose. > From where I sit, the problem hasn't been as extreme as your report. The reason I decided to post the problem was because some of the resultant images were so ghastly that trying to fix them took more work than generating a positive and inverting in PS. On average, PS inversion requires less work and has been very reliable. I never had this problem with the LS-2000 and NS 2.5. Most of the time the scans were right on without requiring modification. BTW, you say that it's been reported. Has Nikon acknowledged it? When I tried to explain the problem to tech support he suggested that I turn-on ROC! I knew then the call was a lost cause and hung up. Regards, Dane - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
