B&W printing with Epson C80

I've tried many different systems for getting quality B&W prints with
varying degrees of success. Recently Chris Bair at The Stock Solution
suggested using the Epson C80 ( pigment ) printer with black ink only at
2880 dpi. I bought one and the results with heavy weight matte and Osprey
paper have been super. Beautiful smooth tonality.
