How much of that 1 Gig is used for overhead when you are trying to run GF and how large are the files that you are attempting to encode into .stn? With Photoshop and several other applications running in background plus attempting to encode 100-125Mb image files can use up quite a bit of actual RAM. Nevertheless, as a second thing to consider, GF does not work with image files containing unflattened layers and channels which can cause it to crash. All files that are to be encoded must be flattened. -----Original Message----- From: owner-scan@leben.com [mailto:owner-scan@leben.com]On Behalf Of Jimkeller@aol.com Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2001 10:52 PM To: scan@leben.com Subject: GF crashes - thanks for the help and BTW the Powerbook has 1 gig of ram, so I don't think that's the problem.
