RE: Genuine Fractals causing crashes

It sounds as if you do not have enough RAM and/or virtual memory to run the
program. I do not think a Powerbook contains or can contain enough memory
to operate with both Photoshop open and functioning as well as GF plugin
being used on an image file if you have any other programs open or have a
lot of programs and data on your hard drive. I could be wrong but remember
that the image you plan to work on via GF keeps a copy of the original in
virtual memory on the Photoshop scratch disk as well as generating a copy
which is being processed by GF. Thus, a 20 MB image file would require a
minimum of 40 MB memory to be processed in and by the GF plugin.

Subject: Genuine Fractals causing crashes

I recently installed the GF that came with my Nikon 4000ED and tried using
it
in Photoshop 6.0.1 and it hard freezes my PowerBook G3 Mac every time. I am
running system 9.2 if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.
