The only way i have been able to get my LS-1000 to work in win 2K is to
install Adaptec EZ-SCSI that came with the scanner. Everyone warns against
doing this (I do not understnd why). However, my floppy disk with the
EZ-SCSI actually went bad and i called nikon to get a new one. They sent me
a CD with a newer version which i tried and it worked also. The tech
suppoort person warned me not to use it as it would screw up some things
like Windows Media Player (which it did not). I then installed the Twain
driver and everything worked!
I then also then removed the EZ-SCSI nad the scanner continued to work!!!! I
also tried this in WinXP and it also allowed the Twain driver to work.
Just my experiences in a home brew PC (athlon 1200, ASUS a7V MoBo with the
VIA chipset).

Subject: Nikon LS-1000 and Windows 2000
Hello,
I have used a Nikon LS-1000 on Win 98 but now I want to change my
operating system to Win 2000. My problem is finding a driver for that
OS. I've tried Nikon with no luck. Until I have the cash to upgrade ( not
this year) I'm stuck with a dual boot operating system. Does anyone know
of any ideas? I downloaded Vuescan in hopes it would have one but it
doesn't recognize my Nikon in 2000.
Thanks,
Kerry Dressler
