You can get it from the Adaptec website, assuming you have an Adaptec SCSI card. If not, try finding an older version of WINASPI. It's only the most recent version that checks the SCSI board ID. It's a very simple, quick install. Newer scanner drivers made especially for Win2K don't bother with this code layer. But older drivers still need it. This bucks the "conventional wisdom," I know... I recently went through this same harangue with my own scanners on Win2K. The two scanners purchased this year installed without a hitch. The oldest scanner (2.5 yrs old) required WINASPI before it would work on Win2K. rafe b. - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
