RE: Graphics card for PC (was: Monitor Choice Poll)

To be honest, I've never met a bad Canadian in the states, so I never had
the need to dis' one.

Vaporware is easy to ship. Here is the technique: promise something on the
box, then don't include the feature in the product.

A friend bought one of the later Matrox cards (model I can't recall) where
the frame capture didn't work, though eventually the driver arrived and the
feature did work. He won't buy from Matrox again either.

Again, the basic 2d features in all cases worked, so for non-demanding
customers, Matrox may be an OK choice.

Back to vaporware, one of those midi programs (Cakewalk perhaps), is sold in
the stores without the CD rom enclosed. It has a mailer, and they ship you
the CD rom.
