Who here are for eliminating ALL remote controls?  Think about it what
remote control receiver works if it is powered off? How many change
batteries in their TVs, VCRs, stereos, etc? Anyone have alarm systems in
your car?

Just a thought from a old-timer in electronics.

Hey, give us a break... we have unfettered access to all the oil, 
natural gas, or electricity we need in the 1st world.  Let's see:

Oil-- we just have a war or invade a middle eastern country, drill on 
the continental shelf, or into the permafrost, ship it in single hulled 
vessels captained by drunks,  build a pipeline through pristine 
wilderness, or demand it from Canada.

Natural Gas (see oil, above)

Electricity: truly unlimited.  Just burn coal, old tires, other fossil 
fuels, or, once again demand Canada supply it, and then don't pay your 
bills.


So a bit of carbon dioxide gets made, warming up the planet a few 
degrees.  It's winter now everywhere important, isn't it?

I feel so dirty, I'm going to take a meteor shower.
