Nobody buys items that are obviously not meeting the product specifications on the box. Other than usenet, how does one know the manufacturer is lying like a rug? So don't dismiss these so called rumors, but rather investigate them carefully. Certainly there are fewer repeat customers for Matrox based on the number of customers they screwed. In the PC business, 5 years of experience are all you need, because the half life of most items is a year. [A person fiddling with PCs for 5 years has experienced win95, win98, winnt, win2k and winxp. OK, so they don't know WFW, and never ran XTree, but who cares.] Sure it is fun to talk about programming 6502s, but the relevance is weak at best, though people who built uP systems have a better understanding of interrupts. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-scan@leben.com [mailto:owner-scan@leben.com]On Behalf Of > Chip Louie > Sent: Monday, November 19, 2001 10:47 AM > To: scan@leben.com > Subject: RE: Graphics card for PC (was: Monitor Choice Poll) > > > > > Hi Bob, > > I don't really care to see people posting different "facts" that conflict, > this just mixes up even technically inclined and lord help those > who are not > technically inclined they'll never be able to figure out what's B.S. and > what's not.
