Subject: epson 1640 vs. 1650

I'm reposting this since i din't get a single reply, weep, weep.

Hi-

I recently picked up a never used floor sample of an Epson 1640SU- wondering if it's a keeper.  I have an Acer1240UT that i've been happy with (1200x1200 and amazingly crisp) - it has a larger transparency area 5x7 vs 4x5 for the epson. Which is great for scanning 6x17 transparencies. I will probably opt to keep both, but have limited space. Shout I consider dumping all  for a newer 1650 photo with the built in backlight that seems to be  3" x 10"?  and ideal for 6x17 and 120 film in general. Bring on the opininions!
