Should an Epson 1650 Photo be left on all night or turned off?

Don't know about "should", but my 1640 stays on all the time. I shut my
computer down once a week to regain lost resources but the scanner never
gets turned off unless there is some problem with a scan and turning it off
and back on again seems to clear things up. But that is not often. I have
treated all of my scanners that way. Whether or not that is good for them or
not, I have no idea, but I have never had any problems that I feel are
related to leaving it on.
