I use the application for an older flatbed scanner. It is good for what it does and for its price. It is not one of your high end applications but neither is its price. I am not currently at the computer with the software on it so I cannot check out what I will be saying for accurracy. Having said that, I think that it is limited to low bit (8BIT/channel) scans. While it does have provisions for color management and the recognition of color profiles (mostly output profiles), it does not supply scanner profiles for the scanners that it supports ( you have to either get them from the manufacturer of the scanner or have them custom made). I have found this feature for the scanner that I am using to be its weakest feature. I do not know if it will work or how it works with filmscanners ( I think it is pretty much a flatbed oriented application). It does not provide automated matching functions like the more expensive high end programs like Binuscan PhotoPerfect. I do not know how it compare to Vuescan which is said to be an excellant application that is constantly undergoing upgrading by its developer and sells for around the same amount - if I am not mistake. -----Original Message----- From: owner-scan@leben.com [mailto:owner-scan@leben.com]On Behalf Of The Altmans Sent: Friday, November 16, 2001 9:13 AM To: scan@leben.com Subject: Jetsoft Art Scan Does anyone have any comments / opinions about Jetsoft's Art-Scan, or suggestions for other similar software.
