Samba Server stops responding every 5 minutes

Hi,
I recently upgraded my samba installation from 3.0.13c to 3.0.31 (debian
testing). Now the server stops responding every five minutes.
The logfiles tell me the following:
log.$servername

I tried some things (restarting, adding winbind) but without success.
Now I'm out of wits. Do you have an idea what could cause this behaviour?
