[Sound] problems with AdLib on RH7.3

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]<

Hello all,

I have an Adlib card that used to work fine on RH 6.0,
but after upgrading to RH 7.3, I can't get it to work.

I ran sndconfig (0.68), and it found AdLib MSC 16PnP on
probing, but in the relevant files (appended), sndconfig
uses CS4232. Any clue why this happens?

I can hear sound, but usually in fits and bursts. Sometimes,
audio files play properly though. It's mostly random.

Any tips about what I should do would be greatly appreciated.
I don't suppose upgrading to 8 or 9 would solve the problem
since this is a legacy card? Also, I don't want to fork out
money to buy a decent sound card just now.

Thanks,
Mandar.
