I have been having a hard time trying to get CD Audio and Line inputs
working on my new installation of RedHat 8.0
I have an Esoniq ES1370 sound card that worked previously on another
installation of RedHat 8.0. After a re-format and installation, I find
that I'm unable to play CD audio, or get audio through the line-input.
Additionaly strange is that system sounds do work, and I can hear
LinuxTorvalds voice clearly when running the sndconfig program. I've
also used the System Settings | Sound Card Configuration tool, and have
clearly heard the guitar chords that are played as a part of that test.
I'm certain that this is a software or configuration issue, but I'm
stuck and could use some help.
Here are a few pertinent logs and other tasty bits that might help
someone figure out what I need to do..
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions,
-Paul Mischler
