thank you for your response,actually Im using Linpus Linux and im working  with Xp window I need both Xp and Linux in my machine so what can i do to handle this situation, and please tell me if Linux accept the flash memories(USB) or not .

What is the linux virsion u are going to use...

If you are installing the linux on a windows running machine be careful....
