where is your new kernel installed? /boot ?
check the config file in /usr/src/linux-2.x.x, that's the one you use when compile the kernel.

Hi, there,
I am a new guy to this mailing list, and I am a new guy to linux.
I have a question about file /boot/config-x-xx.
I rebuilt the kernel recently to set the IP-NETFILTER to 'y', but in /boot/config-x-xx-x, I found it is still unset. Should I change it manually and restart the system?
thanks
