If you are a packager, I think it is quite possible that the addres your
prelink the library to doesn't help much for users with different sets
of (prelinked) libraries.

As a user, I had problems in RHL 8.0 with some applications (ghostscript) crashing
with "unknown relocation type 0x05" after updating libraries it depends
on. Undoing prelink and prelinking again fixed it for me.
