Reinstall Kernel (VMware configuration problem)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

some time ago I tried to compile a kernel because of my scanner. Well,
it doesn't work. But this attempt changed my files in
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-14. Now I have a problem configuring VMware. The
script vmware-config.pl says

----8<-----------------
The path "/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-14/include" is an existing directory,
but it does not contain at least one of these directories "linux",
"asm", "net" as expected.
----8<-----------------

It installed with rpm -i --force the kernel...i686.rpm and src.rpm
again. What is my mistage and how can I fix it? I just want that the
directory /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-14 is like original installed.

Hope to get some help. Thank you in advance.

Sebastian
