Just to follow up. I've done the same thing (downgraded back to 4.3.0-2 and installed Alex's radeon driver), and Xinerama is working like a charm for me too.

Oh, one other thing: I had to comment out the dri module in my XF86Config for X to come up. Otherwise, I got a loud complaint about incompatibilties between dri and dual-head in my XFree86.0.log file (I've lost the original message).


I'm not aware of any visible problems related to this though.
