Re: Konqueror

I just subscribed to this list so I don't know what is appropriate here and
what is not. If this is not the correct forum for this topic please point me
to the right place -- although a lot of what I've seen here today is "off
topic" anyway.

I downloaded Phoebe last week so I think I have the most recent version. I
installed on a second machine this week-end and so far the only problem I
have experienced is the inability to navigate the Ameritrade site (trading,
etc.). Konqueror 3.0.5 (using SuSE8.1) has no problem with the site so I'm
not sure what has changed in 3.1 or if it is a configuration problem. The
Ameritrade site says they require RSA encryption and it appears to me RSA is
included in the default install of Konqueror. The default install of Mozilla
has no problem with the site.

As additional feedback: I have an Asus A7N8X mobo with Asus 9280 video card.
RedHat Phoebe has been running wonderfully for 6 plus days. Mandrake beta
can't run more than a few seconds and SuSE8.1 won't even start the install
program. Whatever RH is doing is the "right thing to do"!! :) Even RH,
however, was unable to detect or configure the network -- some combination of
nVidea MAC and Realtek PHY.

The way Phoebe is shaping up with KDE support back in the distro, I'm crying
in my milk that I sold all my shares after the RH8.0 disaster! I thought no
KDE was the future direction for RH. Glad to see it apparently ain't so!
